Apple & pear picking

Bismillah...

Picking season comes back, and this time...apple and pear. yum222...

Yesterday, we went for apple&pear picking near coatsville. Before entering the orchard, we met the salesguy in the fruit shop to get some plastic bag, and immediately noticed 'Entry per person $1.50' note on the wall behind him..what? we have been there last two years and it was free. 'No entry fee' the guy said...ahhh what a relief. They charge only $1.50 per kilo of apple or pear that we bring from the orchard. That's cheap aye!

Later that afternoon, we went to shakespear regional park and collected cockles. There were lots of people, picnicing and gathering cockles as well. And we were suprised to see 3 chinesemen brought a yellow pail full of cockles.. They might not know the rules, I thought... but later on, just before we leave the beach, we saw 2 guys wearing 'fishery department' printed on shirt, each carrying 2 plastic bags full of cockles, headed to the water... Oh, they let go those extra cockles taken by greedy people, or perhaps naive people who didn't border to look at a big notice board placed at the beach, saying "50 cockles per gatherer per day" ..aye, only 50 cockles... hmm it's just about a medium size bowl of cockles, with shell...
What a wonderful day...
