Milford Sound is battling it out with 27 other finalists to be considered one of the world's 'new' seven wonders of nature.
441 nominees from 222 countries have been whittled down to a list of just 28 finalists in a campaign to name the 'new' seven world wonders of nature, hosted by www.new7wonders.com, with Milford Sound representing New Zealand on the list.
Votes are being accepted now, with the winning seven wonders scheduled to be announced mid-2011. A who-sits-where ranking will be announced next week; to put our NZ icon in good stead for the competition, register and vote online.
